Match Report FAQs
Q: Do I have to write down both cautions if I give a Red Card for receiving a Second Caution in the Same Match?
A: Yes. You must list both cautions in the Misconduct Section AND the Red Card for Red Card for receiving a Second Caution in the same match.
A: Yes. When the league looks at a match report it can cause confusion on when things happened. Your match report tells a story of the game and that story must be told in the order that they happen. Write the report in time order
A: Our suggestion is to write the report in third person. Saying “Referee John Smith showed CFC #24 Caleb Booth a Red Card in the 78 minute” reads a more objectively to a league administrator and leaves no room for misinterpretation than “I gave a Red Card to #33 Caleb.”
