Kevin founded Carolina Referee Organization (CRO) in 2015 when he saw opportunities in Charlotte, NC to build a positive referee community that would allow referees to come together and help each other progress while sharing their love for soccer and refereeing. Kevin attended High Point University from 2006 - 2008 where he played on the Men’s Soccer Team while continuing to referee prior to founding CRO. After his time at High Point University Kevin moved to the Charlotte, NC area and began what would become CRO.
The first steps into being an assignor, Kevin started with Charlotte United Youth Academy and quickly realized how much he enjoyed working with other referees and helping them with their own goals. Starting small did’t last long and CRO Currently works with organizations and leagues with referees across North and South Carolina.
Becoming an assignor has not stopped Kevin from working to achieve his own goals as a referee on the field himself. Refereeing with PRO2 since 2017. Kevin is currently a PRO2 BU Referee, MLS 4th official / VAR and NWSL VAR as well as a USSF National Referee and has served on over 100 matches since 2017 in the MLS, USL, NWSL and US Open Cup among others. Some of his highlights include the 2020 & 2021 USL League One Final as well as the 2023 NWSL Final.
In addition to his roles as a referee and assignor Kevin has coached at the youth level having been a Director of Player Development and holding his USC National Diploma and USSF C Coaching license. This gives him a unique insight into being a referee and assignor that allows him to approach the game from the point of view of a player, coach and a referee.
